Comments:

Will do best here in partial shade, as an understory tree. Little-used in our area, but easily recognized in woodlands when in full bloom (April). Female trees produce fruits, but male trees are better bloomers. Since Sarasota is at the southern terminus of the Fringe Tree’s natural range, care should be taken in locating it in the landscape.
